VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are a vital part of Cornerstone’s mission. Whether you are serving a meal, supporting one of our homes, or bringing a group to make a difference, there are meaningful ways to serve across our seven programs.
Some opportunities are ongoing, while others are seasonal. Explore the options below to see what may be the right fit for you or your group.
Provide & Serve a Meal
One of the most meaningful ways to volunteer is by providing and serving a meal. Groups are responsible for fully providing the meal, either by cooking on-site or bringing it prepared. Opportunities are not typically available for serving only.
The best fit depends on your group size, ages, and how often you hope to serve.
Men’s Mission / Community Kitchen

Serve dinner to approximately 80–100 men at our Main Mission. Groups must fully provide the meal (cook onsite or bring it prepared) and help serve. Dinner begins at 6:00 PM with kitchen access after 3:00 PM.
We recommend no more than 10 volunteers, and all volunteers must be age 16+. This opportunity works best for larger groups able to serve on a regular basis (monthly or quarterly).
Women & Children's
Home

Provide dinner for up to 68 women and children in a smaller, more informal setting. Meals may be cooked onsite or brought prepared and are served family-style at 5:00 PM, with kitchen access beginning at 3:00 PM.
Groups must fully provide the meal. We allow no more than 8 volunteers, and younger volunteers may participate with supervision, making this a great option for smaller or more flexible groups.
Other Ways To Volunteer

Respite Center
We offer volunteer opportunities at our Respite Care Center, which serves individuals recovering from illness or hospitalization. These opportunities are especially suited for groups or individuals who enjoy creative, hands-on, and relational service.
Volunteer Activities May Include:
• Providing and serving a meal
• Crafts or creative projects with residents
• Decorating or refreshing common areas
• Light organizing or cleaning projects
• Approved painting or improvement projects
• Visiting with residents and offering companionship

Seasonal Opportunities
Throughout the year, new seasonal opportunities arise across our locations. Whether you are interested in preparing Easter baskets for children, helping serve or decorate for Christmas, maintaining the lawn during the warmer months, or supporting a special outreach event, there are meaningful ways to step in during key moments of the year. We welcome individuals and groups who want to be part of these seasonal efforts.
