About The Respite Center
The Cornerstone Rescue Mission Respite Care Center is a 20-bed facility designed for individuals experiencing homelessness who need a safe place to recover after hospital stays.
Opened in late 2025, it serves as a first-of-its-kind, post-hospital recovery center in the region—providing a bridge between hospital care and stable living.

How It Works

Patients are referred directly from Monument Health
-
Individuals must be both hospitalized and experiencing homelessness

Each patient is carefully evaluated by medical and program staff

Length of stay is typically around two weeks, based on individual needs
We do not accept walk-ins or outside referrals.
Environment & Daily Life




Patients have private rooms for rest and recovery, with access to shared common spaces for meals and connection. Meals can also be brought to rooms when needed.
Visitors are welcome with 24-hour notice.
